Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York Announces Board Elections

Glens Falls, NY – Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York (GSNENY) is pleased to announce the following elections of members to serve on the local Council Board of Directors and Nominating and Board Development Committee. 

Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York is one of 111 Councils chartered by the Girl Scouts of the USA. GSNENY is an independent 501(c)(3). The Board of Directors serves as the governing body and maintains fiduciary responsibilities, as well as the responsibility for setting the strategic direction of the Council.  

Nominating and Board Development Committee oversees the performance of the board, as well as cultivating and screening candidates for the governance positions at the Council.  

Board Chair, Dr. Debernee Privott of Albany, NY; Elected for a two-year term
First Vice-Chair, Jillian Gale of Castleton, NY; Elected for a two-year term 
Second Vice-Chair, Dr. Kristen Navarette of Troy, NY; Elected to complete a vacated term 
Secretary, Selica Grant of Albany, NY; Elected for a two-year term     
Girl Member-at-large: Ellen Grace of Saratoga Springs, NY; Elected for a one-year term 
Girl Member-at-large: Rachael Strickland of Averill Park, NY; Elected for a one-year term
Adult Members-at-large, two-year term: 
Katie Fontaine of Halfmoon, NY; Re-Elected 
Kasey Kirk of Rouses Point, NY; Re-Elected
Jamie Peluso of Voorheesville, NY; Re-Elected  
Chandler Ralph of Lake Placid, NY; Re-Elected 
Dominique Wheeler of Albany, NY; Re-Elected 
Katelyn Galbraith of Ballston Spa, NY; Elected 
Freya Mercer of Albany, NY; Elected

Nominating and Board Development Committee: 

Chair, Dr. Kristen Navarette of Troy, NY; Elected to complete a vacated term  
Dafney Amilcar-Rodriguez Albany, NY; re-Elected for a two-year term
Selica Grant of Albany, NY; Re-Elected for a two-year term
Chandler Ralph of Lake Placid, NY; Elected for a two-year term
