Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York rewards Top Cookie Seller with spot of “CEO for the Day”

ALBANY, N.Y. -  With the 2024 Girl Scout cookie season officially over, Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York (GSNENY) rewarded its top cookie seller by giving her the spot of “CEO for the Day.” Marybeth H., of Troop 2244 from Scotia, secured this opportunity by selling 2,581 packages of cookies this season.

As CEO for the Day, Marybeth shadowed GSNENY CEO Brenda Episcopo, learning about Episcopo’s leadership style and participating in leadership presentations. Marybeth also met with GSNENY Board Chair, Deb Privott, and several GSNENY teams to get in on council decisions about membership recruitment activities, next year’s cookie rewards, and more.

When asked what motivated her to try and win this opportunity, she said, “Last year, I was the number six seller, and this year, I wanted to be number one.”
