Latham, NY – The National Bank of Coxsackie (“NBC”) presented Family Promise of the Capital Region with a donation in support of their mission to serve unhoused individuals and families. The funds were secured through the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York Small Business Recovery Grant Program. NBC is a member of the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York and applied for the funds made available through this special program,
Family Promise of the Capital Region is a community response to family homelessness. Their trained volunteers, totaling over 500 people, and their participating congregations have been serving homeless families since April of 2015. Through their host sites, Family Promise is able to provide shelter to their families.
“We are so proud to be able to offer support to Family Promise in their quest to provide support with dignity to families and individuals in need of housing assistance. The Family Promise story is inspirational and their services improve the lives of so many people,” John A. Balli, NBC Chief Executive Officer stated.
