Nominations will be accepted from the community through Friday, March 24
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce will, once again, honor and recognize one outstanding individual across the Saratoga County community at its Annual Gala on May 11. The Chamber is now accepting nominations for the 2023 Joseph Dalton Community Service Award.
“Each and every day, we experience what it’s like to live in a thriving community thanks, in part, to individuals and organizations who work tirelessly to make Saratoga County one of the best places to live, work, and play,” said Todd Shimkus, president, Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce. “It is an honor to have the opportunity to recognize a few select individuals who have made a remarkable commitment to our community.”
This year, the Chamber will recognize an outstanding individual for their dedication, commitment, and servant leadership towards to the Saratoga County community with the 2023 Joseph Dalton Community Service Award.
Joseph Dalton Community Service Award
This award was created by unanimous vote of the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors in 2017. The award recognizes and honors Joseph Dalton who served as the president of the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce from 1970 to 2010. During his tenure, the Chamber’s membership, influence, and impact grew significantly as a direct result of Joe’s leadership, passion, and commitment to establishing Saratoga County as a great place to live, work, and play.
Past recipients of the Joseph Dalton Community Service Award include: Steve Sullivan (2018); Tom Roohan (2019); John Munter, Sr. (2020); Julie Stokes (2021); and Cliff Van Wagner (2022).
The criteria below should be used by those in the community who would like to nominate someone to be considered for this award. The selection committee will use the same criteria to choose one person from the nominations as this year’s recipient.
