SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- Classic rock legends Foreigner and Styx took the stage at Saratoga Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, giving fans an unforgettable night of music.
Opening act John Waite and his band kicked off the show with a set that included his biggest hits "When I See You Smile" and "Missing You."
Next up, Styx brought its unmistakeable sound and electrifying energy to the spotlight, pleasing the crowd with fan favorites such as "Lady" and "Come Sail Away," ending with a powerful encore of "Mr. Roboto" and the ever-popular "Renegade."
Foreigner, a group that is about to set out on the final 2024 leg of its farewell tour, gave a lively performance as well, taking the audience through their collection of chart-topping tunes from over the years. Highlights of the set were "Feels Like the First Time" and "Juke Box Hero." In an encore, Foreigner kept its tradition of inviting local students on stage to sing during "I Want To Know What Love Is" to raise awareness for funding of school music programs. Members of the Broadalbin-Perth High School Choir joined the rockers in front of thousands in what was certain to be a memorable life experience. The concert closed out with 1978 hit "Hot Blooded."
Local fans who attended Tuesday's show can feel fortunate to have seen this Renegades & Juke Box Heroes tour featuring Styx and Foreigner "together live for the last time ever."
