Residents have a chance to enjoy specially curated menus from select restaurants and win up to $1,000 in gift cards to Saratoga County restaurants
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce is bringing back its popular annual Saratoga County Restaurant Week.
Dozens of Saratoga County restaurants are participating in the event, which will run from Wednesday, March 6 through Thursday, March 14.
Participating restaurants will offer a three–course meal menu for $25, $35 or $45 (plus tax and tip) for customers to experience and enjoy. Select restaurants will also offer $15 lunch specials.
“We are thrilled to once again present Saratoga County Restaurant Week because we love to showcase the outstanding dining options we have in Saratoga County,” said Todd Shimkus, president of the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce. “This is our annual effort to get local residents and folks from throughout the region to come and try a new restaurant that they haven’t visited before, and to help support those local restaurants at a time when they really could use the business.”
This year, the event will include a gift card sweepstakes through which multiple lucky winners will receive prize packages of $100 gift cards to restaurants throughout Saratoga County. Participants may enter the sweepstakes daily on the Chamber’s website, and winners will be selected and notified via email after Restaurant Week.
The Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce has spearheaded the well-known Saratoga County Restaurant Week for the last seven years. Sponsors supporting this year’s Restaurant Week are Driscoll Foods, Capital Bank, WNYT and My4. “We look forward to Restaurant Week every single year – as does the community,” Shimkus said. “When we dine in or take out at Saratoga County restaurants, we’re supporting local and ensuring restaurant owners can continue to operate and serve customers for years to come.”
Patricia Novo of Taverna Novo on Beekman Street in Saratoga Springs said she loves participating in Restaurant Week. “It is an opportunity for us to introduce ourselves and our cuisine to those who haven’t been able to try us yet, and also for our tried and true customers,” she said. “We actually do get a lot of guests who return after Restaurant Week, so it is also a wonderful marketing tool for us. Guests travel - often a great distance - to enjoy our offerings, as well as other participants’ offerings.”
Bob Lee, owner of The Wishing Well in Wilton and The Brook Tavern in Saratoga Springs, agrees. “Restaurant Week is a unique opportunity to showcase your business to first-time guests,” he said. “Advertising and social media are great, but it’s the initial experience that counts in creating loyal, repeat customers.”
