Upbeat on the Roof Returns July 11

The Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery at Skidmore College announces the twenty-third season of its popular summer concert series, Upbeat on the Roof, which will run each Thursday from July 11 through August 15. Also returning this season are art-making activity kits for kids, called Crafts on the Grass.

Mark Dion and Alexis Rockman: Journey to Nature’s Underworld

The Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery at Skidmore College announces Mark Dion and Alexis Rockman: Journey to Nature’s Underworld, a monumental exhibition surveying 30 years of both artists’ work, on view from July 13, 2024, through January 5, 2025. An opening reception will be held on Saturday, July 13, at 5 pm.

Tang Teaching Museum a 2024 Blue Star Museum

The Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery at Skidmore College is proud to join museums nationwide in the Blue Star Museums initiative, a program that provides free admission to currently serving U.S. military personnel and their families this summer. The 2024 program will begin on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 18, 2024, and end on Labor Day, Monday, September 2, 2024. Tang Bazaar, a Creative Student Marketplace, Returns Friday, Dec. 8

The Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery at Skidmore College invites the public to the Tang Bazaar, an annual one-day pop-up shop of student-made wares, including art, jewelry, clothing, and pottery, on Friday, December 8, from 3:30 to 5:30 pm.
