This basket serves equally well as a tabletop display filled with seasonal items, or as a wall basket, with an "ear" woven into the back for hanging. The basket is woven in the plain weave method with a solid bottom. Several methods of filling a solid bottom will be discussed. The body of the basket incorporates a "chain weave", woven with dyed round reed in a choice of colors. The basket is finished with a braided and scalloped rim, woven with matching dyed reed. A choice of a ceramic accent embellishes the basket in coordinating colors and a charming theme.
