Felted vessels or hollow forms can be created several different ways depending on the desired result. Students will be using the unique and fun technique of felting over a ball to create a three-dimensional vessel with a decorative surface. There will be a strong emphasis on surface texture and creating a pleasing shape using several sculptural techniques. Color use and design, both inside and out, will be discussed, as well as methods of stretching, steaming, surface embellishment and stiffening. All levels of experience are welcome. 

NOTE:  Students need to bring soap and a small dish, pan or bowl to hold water. Dawn, Ivory or an olive oil based soap is recommended.
