Bakery Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the daily operations of our bakery, assisting in the preparation and production of a variety of baked goods. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and a strong commitment to food safety and customer service.

Duties

• Assist in the preparation of ingredients for baking, including measuring, mixing, and kneading dough.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and other baking tools safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and bakery area to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
• Support the head baker in producing a wide range of pastries, breads, cakes, and other baked goods.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their orders and answering any questions about products.
• Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management when stock is low.
• Participate in catering events as needed, ensuring that all baked goods are prepared to meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or bakery setting is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food handling and food safety practices is essential.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with customers.
• Familiarity with food preparation techniques and production processes in a kitchen environment.
• A passion for baking and an eagerness to learn more about pastry arts.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if necessary.
